The periodic table of elements is a table with the names, abbreviations, atomic number, atomic mass, written in small grids, labeled by type.
This is the element carbon. Below the name is the number of protons in the nucleus, which is 6 in this case. At the bottom is the atomic mass, which is the approximate mass of the atom.
Atomic Mass/Weight is at the bottom of the grid.
Anything to the left of the visible separation grid (in the middle of the metalloids) is a metal and everything to the right is a non-metal, except Hydrogen, which is a nonmetal.
