The cold is a pretty vague disease and can be caused by a wide variety of viruses that annoy your respiratory system, and in fact, there are about 200 species of viruses that are known to cause the common cold. In this page, we focus on the Rhinovirus, the genus of viruses that causes about half of all colds. The name comes from "rhino", which mean "of the nose", and the suffix "virus" as always. This virus is not only the cause of the cold, but also asthma attacks in more sensitive people.
