Parasites are organisms who steal resources or shelter from other organisms, harming them in the process. The word "parasite" probably comes from the Greek word "parasitos", which one who live at another's expense. Technically, the microorganisms discussed in the other pages were also parasites, but they were microparasites, and these parasites can be easily seen with the naked eye. Scientists have created three types of parasites: ectoparasites, which live on the outside of an organism's body, helminths, worms that live inside gastrointestinal tracts, and protozoans, which are unicellular beings without nuclei, but those were already covered in the "Bacteria and More" section, which you should check out if you are interested. There's nothing else to say, because parasite bodies function similar to us.
