What is an acid or a base?
Acid is known dissolve stuff, and when you think of acid, you think of a pool of green liquid that destroys anything thrown in it. That would be very strong acid, and normally people don't use it very often. When you eat something acidic, your teeth would probably fell like they want to fall off and though the taste might be enjoyable, your mouth probably feels bad. On the PH scale (Power of Hydrogen), Acid is below 7. The closer to 0 it is, the stronger the acid. Common acids that you eat: Citric acid (for flavoring), Direct lemon juice.
Neutrals are not really a thing, but they have a neutral PH of 7.
Bases taste bitter and when you touch some and rub your hands together, it would probably feel as though they are sticking together. Bases are usually used in cleaning things and they are above 7 on the PH scale. The closer to 14 the PH is, the more basic something is.
Power of Hydrogen describes how many hydrogen ions are in the solution.
